  • Government-issued ID information (driver’s license preferred): if you rent equipment, we may view and/or collect limited information from your government-issued photo ID for identity verification, fraud prevention, and to help enforce our rental terms regarding return of equipment. We do not use your ID information for marketing.

  • Driver’s license/ID use limited to non-return/theft situations: if equipment is not returned as agreed and we reasonably believe it is lost or stolen, we may use and disclose relevant identification and transaction information (including driver’s license/ID information) to (a) attempt to recover the equipment, (b) make an insurance claim, (c) pursue payment and collection efforts, and/or (d) file and cooperate with a theft report with law enforcement on behalf of the business.

  • Marketing and promotions (where permitted): send promotional communications if you opt in or where otherwise allowed by law. You may opt out at any time.

  • Legal compliance and protection: where required by law or to respond to lawful requests, subpoenas, court orders, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our customers, or others.

  • Equipment non-return/theft: if equipment is not returned and is reasonably believed to be lost or stolen, we may disclose relevant personal information (including driver’s license/ID information) to law enforcement, insurers, and/or collection or recovery providers for the limited purpose of reporting, recovering equipment, investigating, and pursuing remedies.

  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

5. Data Security
